Gary A. Munneke
and supportive people to help him or her navigate a legal career.
I was but one of the fortunate people upon whom Gary le; an
indelible imprint. Certainly, one of the lessons we can take away
from his career is that one should always do what one can to
help colleagues and friends. In
honoring his memory, I hope I
can always follow in his path.
Gary is already greatly missed
by a great many in our Section,
and certainly by me. He was dedi-
cated to the professional develop-
ment of everyone who was fortu-
nate enough to have crossed his
path and to leading the profession
forward in new directions.
A NOTE ON LPM STAFF
LPM has completed its sta; reorganization, and we now have an
associate director of programming, Cindy Galvan, who started
her new job in January. Cindy previously served as LPM’s meeting
planner and has worked for the ABA for many years. LPM has
been rapidly expanding its sponsorship and programming, and
our new associate director will help manage programs, meetings
and ;nances more e;ciently. Congratulations, Cindy!

Social Media as Evidence: Cases, Practice
Pointers, and Techniques
By Joshua Briones and Ana Tagvoryan
Lawyers are already using Android devices to make phone calls, check e-mail and send text messages. After the addition of several key apps, Android smartphones or tablets can also
help run a law practice. From the more than 800,000 apps currently available, Android Apps in One Hour for Lawyers highlights
the best of the best apps that will allow you to practice law from
your mobile device.
For lawyers, the proverbial “smoking gun docu- ment” of the pre-Internet era has given way to the “smoking gun tweet.” In recent years, Facebook,
Twitter, blogs and other social media channels have become an
evidentiary gold mine for impeaching witnesses and undermining a
company's litigation position. Social Media as Evidence will assist
any lawyer who encounters social media in their daily law practice.
